Yarliyil Art Centre re-opened in September 2010. Jeannette Swan is employed as the Arts Development Officer, together with the Shire of Halls Creek & Tim Acker we uniquely manage centre.
With the dynamic support from Vicky Butters & the Kimberley Language Resource Centre Halls Creek, Warren Olsen & the Shire of Halls Creek, Tim Acker of Tracker Development & Tim Pearn of DIA Yarliyil was re-established.
This Centre is located in the Town Hall on the Great Northern Highway in the centre of Halls Creek just to the west of the Aquatic and Recreation Centre. Local artists such as Stan Brumby, Bonnie Deegan, Biddy Timbinah, Barbara Sturt, Maggie Long, Lulu Trancollino, Robert Nanala, Barry Demi & Paul Tex can often be seen working at Yarliyil.
The artists here are keeping culture strong by creating magnificent artworks and telling their stories that comes with each piece.
