Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation was established in 1985.  Warlukurlangu means “belonging to fire” and was named after a site north of Yuendumu.   The Art Centre is an important stronghold of traditional Warlpiri culture and an essential part of Yuendumu’s daily community life, representing both the social and cultural ‘hub’ of the community.



Warlukurlangu Artists  represents over 500 artists from Yuendumu and since 2005, artists from Nyirripi a community located 160km southwest of Yuendumu started painting for the art centre.
