Kayili Artists

Image Gallery

Kayili Artists began in 2004 and its artists have prospered and developed, producing shimmering, powerful images depicting their traditional stories (Tjukurrpa). Water sources appear in painting after painting, weaving stories expressing the artist’s intimate understanding of their land and the role water plays in survival. Rock holes are frequently resting places of ancestral characters, playing an important role in each artist’s custodial responsibilities.
