Gab Titui, located on Thursday Island, was established in 2004 by the Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA) and is the Torres Strait’s first keeping place for historical artefacts and contemporary Indigenous art. Its central focus is to contribute to the preservation, maintenance and revitalisation of Torres Strait traditions and cultural heritage, and to the development and promotion of local Indigenous art.
